The Golf platform vehicles do not feature a camber-adjusting ball joint from the factory, this kit allows you to add some static negative camber to the front of your VW without resorting to a camber plate setup and the increase NVH they bring.
The VW ball joints optimize the vehicle's roll center for a vehicle at the stock ride height. While these cars require a nominal ride height for optimal handling, the OEM platforms span a range of ride heights and the factory piece likely splits the difference between the versions in search of a best case mass production outcome. The SuperPro piece optimizes roll center for the lowest of the factory offerings and those that have gone an inch or so lower in search of performance reducing body roll and sharpening lateral transitions.
