Common problems with the standard top mounts being that the rubber perishes which can cause knocking. Also when upgrades to the shock absorbers and springs are made the original rubber mounts are placed under a lot more load, this causes lateral movement in the mount, thus not allowing the full potential to the upgrades to be felt.
So here we have PFR85-241 rear shock absorber top mounting bush. It comes with a new stainless steel sleeve and a two part polyurethane bush for above and above the shell.
The bushes have voiding around the contact faces to the chassis, these have been designed to limit and control the amount of noise or vibration transmissed into the bodyshell.
With the superior properties of polyurethane, PFR85-241 offers a positive location with reduced compression, ideal when changing or upgrading springs and shock absorbers. Being a direct replacement they are also very easy to fit.
