Having raved on about a concourse car for years, Pete decided to bite the bullet on go for it. He had a motorsport/street racer type build on his mind, complete ground up build only using new parts only.
The first stage was to get the car stripped to a rolling shell, offer up the new engine, in this case a 225 unit from an Audi TT, decide what holes/grommets that were needed to be used or not used in this case, remove and weld up.
The next stage was to prep the bay ready for the bodyshop, and to fabricate all bespoke boost pipes before the engine was removed and the car sent for paint. After the engine was removed and the bay prepped, Pete then asked if it was possible for us to make him a four point cage and rear strut brace, and trial fit it before the car was painted.
Once we received the car back from the painters we set about installing all the freshly powder coated items onto the car along with the detailed engine. As you can see everything including every brake part and suspension and steering item was either rebuilt or replaced. |
